New school will benefit children with specialist educational needs.
Children with specialist educational needs in Westmorland and Furness are set to benefit from a new school, one of a number announced by the Government today.
The decision was made following the Chancellor's announcement of a £105 million investment in special education during this year's spring budget. The new school will provide specialised spaces suited to the needs of pupils whose requirements cannot be met in regular educational settings.
Welcoming the news, Matty Jackman, the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Westmorland and Lonsdale, said:
"I am delighted that the government has chosen Westmorland and Furness as one of the few places to benefit from a new school that will help support children with special educational needs."
Emphasising the importance of these facilities, Matty added:
"All children must have the opportunity to benefit from a quality education. I know that special schools can help transform children's lives, enabling pupils with special education needs to thrive in environments that meet their needs."
This initiative highlights the government's commitment to ensuring that every child receives a quality education tailored to their individual needs.
By investing in specialised educational facilities, Westmorland and Furness will further enhance their support for children with special education needs, enabling them to reach their full potential.
