Why am I the man to bring about this change?
- Local: I’ve been an active member of our local community for over 20 years; I am familiar with the issues that matter most to us. My love for this place and its people has led me to serve both the local community and the country.
- New: I am dedicated to service. My journey, spanning Government, the community and voluntary sector, the private sector, and Defence, has shaped my unwavering commitment to our constituency's well-being.
- Fighting for you: My priorities are 1. building community bonds, 2. fueling economic growth, and 3. addressing resident-specific concerns. We deserve an MP focused on prosperity and jobs for your children.
The context: You have been underserved for 18 long years, but together we can turn the tide.
In nearly 7000 days under the current MP, we've witnessed a managed decline – few new jobs, economic stagnation, and the emergence of a ‘retirement village’. This is unsustainable. Past promises have run dry, and the chance for meaningful action has slipped away.
The Lib Dems have had their opportunity and missed it.
